Fly over the globe

A Cessna 172 over the same globe as my homepage. Up at cruise the world goes by a few hundred times faster than real; down low it slows so you can look around. The i bubbles only show below 3,000 feet. Fly over one to open it.

The airplane is the one I'm training in. A full tank is 53 gallons, about 600 nautical miles with the 30-minute VFR reserve, so plan your legs and land at an airport to fill up. The wind is steady, and it pushes you off course: the leg card works out the heading to fly, the way an E6B does.

← → or A Dbank and turn
↓ or Spull back to climb
↑ or Wpush forward to descend (like a yoke)
E Q or the wheelthrottle up and down
Hold the mouseor a finger on the map: the plane turns and climbs toward it. M follows the cursor without holding.
